Ready to Race! Blaze and the Monster Machines Step into Reading Random House Kevin Kobasic Books Reviews

  • My boys love this book! The only reason for a 4 star is for the misprint. My kids sat down to read it as soon as it came and my 5 year old found the misprint right away and thought it was funny. We used it as a teaching moment since he was having a rough go with writing and not being perfect earlier that day. It seemed to help him feel better and he got a marker and fixed the book.
  • My first grader loves the show Blaze and can read the whole book. This is the first one he willingly read himself. He and we love it just for that reason. Ours did not have a typo. Yes the language is simple but that is the point in a step level 2 book. The stickers have a jewel effect that we think is neat too.
  • It's a cute book. This particular book " Ready to Race" describes the characters in the show. It's not a story. My kids love it and like to quote the trucks on each page.
  • We usually love this series of books, but this one was just boring. While it was an easy read (perfect for young learners), it didn't have much of a story line to keep my toddler's attention.
  • As others have said, there is a typo. This is disappointing when these books are supposed to teach kids about reading and they can be easily confused. Nothing you can't cover up or explain, but still can't give 5 stars despite the rest if the book and stickers being great. My son and daughter love the book.
  • My 3 year old loves this book! He loves the stickers! There are lots of stickers in the back and they are great quality. The story is easy to understand, he has even memorized it!
  • Nice simple story with colorful pictures and additional sparkly stickers for any young child who loves Blaze! Basically introduces all characters and a mini racing plot.
  • This book has very few words as it is for beginning readers but there is a typo!! So few words and obviously so little time spent on proof reading and editing. On the bright side, you can use this book to teach your kids how not to write.
