  • An excellent book filled with verbatim recipes from hundreds of years ago, with occasional modern explanations. Very fun read for both experienced brewers and for those just starting to learn how the process works!
  • The definitive guide for someone who wants to follow historical methods of brewing.
  • The author includes cautions and historical notes about recipes. I am just entering the brewing field and this book is providing insight into how I may change my ingredients of mead or cider. This is a great reference book and well worth the cost.
